Waterfront Membership

The Recreation Department would like to help residents include waterfront activities as an integral part of their summer plans. Waterfront Memberships are offered to assist community members who would like to spend a great part of their summer at the beach! If you plan to spend many days at the beach, take swim lessons or join the swim team, a Waterfront Membership can decrease the cost of those activities!

Annual Proof of Residency
To be eligible for Town of Beekman resident discounts for programs, proof of residency is required annually for all participants, including those who have previously been enrolled. It must be provided in the form of:
1.A tax or utility bill, AND
2.Proof of identity in the form of a State Issued Photo ID

Beach Area

• Our swimming area is unique and includes two sand beaches and a deep water area.
• It is part of Recreation Park which boasts two playgrounds, swings, a sand volleyball court, 18 hole mini golf course, horseshoe pits, a pavilion with restrooms and changing rooms, many picnic tables and a concession stand.
• The beaches and grounds are beautifully maintained by our maintenance crew.

• FREE! Use of the pond & beach: Enjoy your summer in Beekman this summer getting to know your neighbors as you enjoy the summer sun, watch your kids build castles in the sand or swim in the pond.
• FREE! Afternoon Kids Activities at the Beach Kids Club Tent! Bring your kids to the daily activity station in the park for crafts and games.

Beach Hours

• June 19-21: 1:15-7pm
• June 22-August 17: Mon-Sat 12:15-7pm, Sundays 12:15-6pm
• August 18-Labor Day: 12:15-6pm
• Beach closed to the public on Sunday, August 4 for Fire Company picnic: Thank you to all the volunteer fire fighters!

Fees
Full Season Family* Membership for Residents: $115
Full Season Family* Membership for Non-Residents: $350
Replacement Cards: $10 each
There is a convenience fee charged to any registrations made online

*For the purposes of a "Family Membership", "Family" is a household account and may contain up to 2 parents and their unmarried children under 24 years of age living permanently in the residence; if there are multiple families living at the same residence, each must have their own "Family" Membership. Online receipts for Family Memberships are subject to review and if this definition is not adhered to, membership will be null and void.

If you anticipate having non-resident guests visit you for an extended time this summer, you are strongly encouraged to purchase an Unnamed Guest Pass for each guest.

Guests and Non-member use of the Beach

• Guest Passes for visitors entering the park WITH a member: $6
• Day Passes for visitors using the park WITHOUT a member: Residents $10, Non-residents $15
• UNNAMED Guest Pass for Families with a Membership enabling them to bring ONE guest to the beach WITH them each day for $50. To do so follow this link AFTER you purchase your Family Membership. If you anticipate having non-resident guests visit you for an extended time this summer, you are strongly encouraged to purchase an Unnamed Guest Pass for each guest.

Inclement Weather Beach Policy

• Swim lessons are moved to “dry land” training during inclement weather.
• Beach closure will be posted as an “Alert” on the website home page and on the voice mail on the Park Manager’s phone, 724-5300 ext. 216.
• There are no refunds for inclement weather.

Safety Drill Closures
The beach will be closed at a different time each week for one half-hour so the lifeguards can perform safety drills. Watch your guards in action. There are times the public is included in these drills!

Safety Guidelines
Our swimming area is created by water diverted from the Fishkill Creek. The Dutchess County Health Department regulates our swimming area and inspects it frequently. In order to comply with the Health Department , we have to maintain four feet of water clarity to open our deep sections.

Periodically, after heavy rains that stir up the creek supplying water to the swimming area, or on heavy beach use days, we may have to temporarily close our deep sections if we do not have four feet of water clarity. The safety of our patrons is our top priority. We apologize for any inconvenience closures may cause and ask for your patience and understanding. In the event the water is closed, the lifeguards will offer other program activities.
